The apple logo – you’ve seen it, you know exactly what it represents, it makes you want a product that it is emblazoned on and yet, it is as simple as an apple with a bite taken out of it.
What makes the Apple logo so compelling, how can companies emulate Mac and create such a simple and yet compelling brand? I know that Wal-Mart spend millions of dollars to create their new simple branding and it looks anonymous and generic. Not compelling at all.
Interesting question for all small business owners. What does your branding say about your company? What message is your logo sending, is it the message you want to impart? How can simple work so well for one company and fail so miserably at another?
