1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1 can of diced tomatoes (optional) 4 oz. Jack’s Harvest More Peas, Please 4 oz. Jack’s Harvest Yummy Bunny Carrots
¼ teaspoon flax seed oil
1 teaspoon parmesan cheese
oregano (optional)
Warm your favorite pasta sauce on the stove. Add diced tomatoes and carrot and pea puree. Toss with your favorite whole wheat pasta noodle. Coat with flax seed oil. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano. Serve warm and enjoy.
The carrot puree adds a nice bit of sweetness and Vitamin A. The pea puree adds Vitamin C and iron. And no one knows they are eating their veggies!
For heartier sauce (and extra protein), add lean ground beef or ground turkey.
